Sarah Jessica Parker covers the new Elle magazine. Inside the mag she discusses some recent rumors about her and her Sex and City co-stars. Parker dismisses rumours of catfighting and testy salary negotiations floating around about her and her Sex and the City co-stars, particularly Kim Cattrall.
“I don’t think anybody wants to believe that I love Kim,” she says. “I adore her. I wouldn’t have done (Sex and the City 2) without her. Didn’t and wouldn’t.”
She also discusses the decision by her and husband, Matthew Broderick to use a surrogate for their infant twins, Marion and Tabitha, who were born in June and join older brother James, 7.
“I knew there would be lots of opinions about, ‘Well, why didn’t you adopt? Why didn’t you do this? Why didn’t you do that?’ and the truth of the matter is, it wasn’t one or the other for us. We had explored, and continue to explore all options, and this one just happened first. This isn’t the period at the end of the sentence.”
For now, motherhood the second time around seems to be suiting her just well. “I love the smell of diapers; I even like when they’re wet and you smell them all warm liked a baked good. I love the smell of Balmex. Love it.”
