Alexa Ray Joel, the 23-year-old singer and daughter of Billy Joel and Christie Brinkley, was hospitalized Saturday in New York City and it may have been a suicide attempt.
“She is stable and her doctors are assessing her needs,” a rep for Alexa Ray and her father, Billy Joel, confirmed.
Alexa was rushed to St. Vincent’s Hospital after a caller placed a call to 911 Saturday afternoon. The phone call was allegedly made by Alexa’s roommate as Detective Sessa confirms to OK!, “It was a female caller who said there was a woman there having difficulty breathing.”
