Kate Gosselin’s extensions are coming out. But that doesn’t quite mean the former reality star will go back to the trademark backwards mullet that she has become best known for.
Celebrity hairstylist Ted Gibson told RadarOnline.com that he’s taking Gosselin’s $7,000 extensions out on Wednesday, and though she’ll have her short hair back for the day, he’s giving her a new ‘do on Thursday.
“We’ll be doing color, we’ll be doing extensions, we’ll be getting her ready for her premiere on ‘Dancing With the Stars!’” Gibson said, adding that the 34-year-old mother of eight’s new locks will include a few different shades of blond. “The extensions will last through the whole time she’s on the show.”
Gosselin has already begun rehearsing for the hit ABC show, which premieres March 22nd.

John Travolta has found himself in the middle of meshy situation.
The actor, whose changing hairline has been widely speculated to be the result of a hair piece, showed what appears to be his battle with baldness as he and wife Kelly Preston were pictured leaving their Paris hotel on Tuesday, the Daily Mail reports. And no thanks to the flashing cameras surrounding him, the 55-year-old actor couldn’t hide the revealing grid attached to his thick mane.

Heroes star Hayden Panettiere gave new meaning to “red carpet reveal” when she turned up at the Temple Grandin premiere in New York this week with newly auburn hair. Why did Hayden go red?
“Because I could, because I was done with the season,” she explained. “I was like, ‘I need to change, I need to get myself out of this slot. I don’t feel like a blonde right now!’” In true superstar fashion, the actress didn’t stop with her hair, and had her stylist touch up her brows as well. “I hope they match,” she said, continuing, “Eyebrows very much frame the face.” Despite the color change, Hayden tells us that she isn’t through with the change-ups. “I was going to go dark,” she said of her original hair color plan. “And then I decided to go red first — and then dark.”
